i met Beauty today.
before i could meet her gaze,
she sprinted toward the light
hoping that the uv rays would
wipe off her scars and youthenize
her figure.
she would not speak to me;
her lips were taped with
ancient cassette film and dollar bills.
she could not hear me, either;
her ears were warped in awkward contortions
to forever never let her headphones
fall off her head.

oh, you mean Bell from the all-time Disney classic? jk. (sry, that was lame...)
Short and sweet. VERY sweet. I like it.
Reminds me a lot of you. *winks*
I dig this.
this was cool.
but since i'm not poet,
at the end i was kinda like,
"whaaat?"
lol.
poor Beauty, forever trying to chase herself
Haha, I realized the whole "Bell" thing after I wrote the poem... So that wasn't lame Nez! You're the sweet one for posting that comment, haha.
And thanks for the comments, Mark and Kirs! Kirs, the interpretation of the poem is up to your take on it... ;)
Interesting perspective on the poem, Steve :)
